Violation of right

NTUMUN is about debating issues happenig around the world. There are a few council involved in this Model United Nation including the WTO,EU,GA,SC and mine is HSC which stands for Historic Security Council. It is pretty much similar to the SC except for the fact that the meeting is held back in time. So, the debate is on something at the past but the meeting is held specifically on a freeze date.

1st day

0830 : Quite nervous initially as it is my first MUN in my life. I had breakfast with my co-delegate. Socialising around to get to know a few members of HSC.
1000 : The commence of the executive board. Roll call for the delegates present. Opening speech by my co-delegate
1030 : General Speaker's list started. Actively by Germany,Serbia and Bosnian delegates.
1100 : Moderated Caucus on the lifting of arms embargo
1130 : Debate goes on with the Speaker's list.
1145 : Unmoderated Caucus commence. Quite noisy but a very hot discussion. Negotiation taking place.
1315 : Lunch and Networking session
1400 : Lobbying session to actually talk and discuss with people of our stance
1430 : Delegates come to order. Speaker's List continue.
1530 :Nigeria for the first time that day put up their placard to add their names to the Speaker's List.
I talked about how UN troops should be increased in Bosnia and this is to enforce the arm embargo on the Bosnian Serbs namely from Rep. of Srepska. There are two point of information (POI) for us as I open the POI for the floor. The first one is on how do we think that we are going to get the troops to get into Bosnia as there have not been much parties allowing their own troops. My co-delegates answered. Another one for the UK delegates on how willing is Nigeria to send troops to Bosnia and I

1600 : Debates on negotiation between Rep. of Srepska and Bosnia took place actively by Germany and Serbia. 2 working papers are written by Germany and Botwana. They were debated by those who for them and against them.

I met a number of interesting guy from Singapore namely the Honduras guy and also from Botswana.(I mean delegates from the country,LOL)

1720 : Session finished
1900 : Party.Not really for me.It's dinner.

This model united nations really opens up for me as it it exactly like a UN meeting with all the NATOs and countries involved. As we are the Nigerian delegate we just had to take our stance. Among the discussions are the violation of the Bosnian Serbs on the arms embargo. I clearly see there's no doubt on proposing this case on them.
